NORTHERN SPIRIT SINGERS

Northern Spirit Singers was founded in 2000 and rapidly secured its reputation as one of the country’s leading chamber choirs. In 2014, it was named Adult Choir of the Year. The choir performs several a cappella concerts a year in Durham.

Music for celebration and reflection. Featuring works by Roth, Tallis, Weir and Howells.

Jazz Carols

Saturday 16 December 2023, 7pm – Elvet Methodist Church, Durham 

Northern Spirit Singers joins forces with Durham Choral Society and Durham Music Youth Choir to present an evening of carols by Will Todd.

Cantus Mundi – our first digital release – takes a choral journey around the world.

The choir’s YouTube channel features performances from tours and from the Category Finals of Choir of the Year 2014.

When we couldn’t get together to rehearse during the pandemic, we recorded some virtual choir items. Check out our version of Rachmaninov’s ‘Bogoroditse Devo’.
