Northern Spirit Singers was founded in 2000 and rapidly secured its reputation as one of the country’s leading chamber choirs. After the first fifteen years of touring and competition success — in 2014, we were named UK Adult Choir of the Year — we have focused our activities in the North East of England.
We perform several a cappella concerts a year in Durham or the surrounding area, as well as collaborations with local and touring artists and institutions, including Durham-born composer Will Todd, the Glasshouse Centre for Music, Gateshead and Radio 3’s Freethinking Festival.
